PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

More than just hacking.

Structured like ChefTreff AI Hackathon 2026, keynote, mentoring, inclusivity, and recruiting built in.

Opening keynote

30-minute keynote from a European challenge partner (TBA). Visual-first, peer-to-peer, hoodie not suit.

Speed dating with partners

Day 1, 14:00–15:00. 3-minute rotations at each challenge table. Clarify scope, find teammates, start recruiting conversations.

Women in AI

Day 1, 16:00–17:00 coffee session. We target 30% women participants. Deposit waiver available for underrepresented applicants.

Mentors & jury

1 mentor + 1 judge per challenge partner. Mentors on-site Day 1 (09:00–22:00). Judges score Day 2 pitches, top 2 teams per challenge, one winner each.

When is HackPune 2026?
3 & 4 October 2026 (Saturday & Sunday) in Pune, India. The provisional schedule is on terns.tech/hackpune, exact times may shift as we finalise the venue.
How does judging work?
Each challenge partner provides one judge. Top 2 teams per challenge pitch on the main stage (4 min + 3 min Q&A). One winner per challenge, 8 winners total.
Is there a Women in AI session?
Yes. Day 1, 16:00–17:00 · an open coffee roundtable for women participants, mentors, and guests. We target 30% women participants.
What is Terns?
Terns is a global hackathon ecosystem - a platform and community for builders, founders, hackers, and creators worldwide. HackPune is our flagship event in Pune, India.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. We need engineers, designers, product managers, and strategic thinkers. Every team benefits from diverse skill sets.
Is it free to participate?
HackPune is free for selected builders. Applications are reviewed and curated, 160 spots for the best applicants. There is no participation fee for accepted hackers.
